But here’s the funny thing, I did not start out publishing other people’s content.  It was actually the furthest thing from my mind.

In fact, the first product I published was an ebook I authored called Speak On Cruise Ships: 8 Easy Steps to a Lifetime of Free Luxury Cruises (I’ve since turned it into a video course and it sells to this day - see http://speakerscruisefree.com ).

But I quickly ran into a problem when I wanted to publish more money-making products.  Namely...

That’s when the idea struck me.  I did not only have to publish my own work.  I could publish others.  I could be a publisher!

I went out and found experts who could produce content that my small but growing list of cruise speaker customers would buy.

But I did something different than the traditional publishing model.  I co-created products with these experts.

Essentially, that means we both added relevant content and then we both promoted and sold it.  It is is much more of a partner product (or more accurately joint ventured product).
